Aim & Scope
Modern Insights in Literature, Arts & Linguistics (MILAL) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing original, high-quality scholarship in the fields of literature, arts, and linguistics. The primary aim of the journal is to foster critical, creative, and interdisciplinary research that deepens academic knowledge, enriches cultural understanding, and promotes innovative perspectives across the humanities.
The scope of MILAL is deliberately inclusive, welcoming contributions that cross disciplinary boundaries and encourage dialogue between scholars, practitioners, critics, artists, and educators. By providing an open and global platform, the journal seeks to highlight contemporary debates, theoretical innovations, artistic explorations, and critical practices that shape our understanding of language, literature, and cultural expression.
Areas of Interest include, but are not limited to:
Literature: literary theory and criticism, comparative literature, world literatures in English and other languages, postcolonial studies, cultural memory, narrative studies, translation studies, and digital humanities.
Arts: visual and performing arts, film and media studies, aesthetics, cultural heritage, art history, creative practices, interdisciplinary art forms, and the role of arts in society.
Linguistics: applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourse analysis, language and identity, multilingualism, language policy and planning, stylistics, and the intersection of language and culture.
